Algebra 2 Help Please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write a possible factored form of the seventh degree function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zeros are \(-5,-1,4,7\) if i am reading it correctly does that look right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And -5 is a Double root, 4 is a Triple root; if that helps any.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, well if you know that already (you are right) then you are done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(-5\) is a double root, so one factor is \((x+5)^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and since \(4\) is a triple root, one factor is \((x-4)^3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whole thing is therefore \[(x+5)^2(x+1)(x-4)^3(x-7)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was typing that out to ask you but you answered it before I could even ask

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks :)

Out of curiosity, how old are you? If you don't mind me asking.
