Though I find the Byzantines interesting, it's not my specialty, haha. But I will try to help. First, for future artworks, try to find a date if possible. It could be potentially useful to understand the context it was made in.
But off the top of my head, this mosaic reminds me of Ancient Greece. As shown by their religion (Orthodox Christianity), the Byzantine Empire upheld many traditions from Ancient Greece/Rome. I would say that this mosaic shows that their cultural contribution was preserving the style of Ancient art.
