Why is it important to cite the sources that you will use in a research paper? A. Because your own opinions are not important B. So that your reader can verify the information you provide C. To prevent others from plagiarizing your paper D. To show that you read outside source wouldnt my answer be D? kinda stuck in between B or D.

I'd side with B if you read something, and someone cites say "book by peter schmoo" then you'd want to verify or further your reading by checking "peter schmoo's" book once you verify such, you'd know the author checked their outside sources or not

D wouldn't work because you obviously NEED to read outside sources to find information about your topic. I also think the answer is B, since your reader needs to know where you found your information, and also to check if you're plagiarizing or not.
