how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a rectangle, so if one side is 4 then you know another side is also 4. That makes 8. But you still have 12 cm, and two sides unaccounted for so you divide 12 by 2. Then you get 6 cm per side for the length. So the sides are 4, 4, 6, and 6. A= L x W A= 6 x 4 A= 24
