MEDAL AND FAN!!! Which of the following is a small star that has reached the end of its stellar evolution? Neutron star Red giant Stellar nebula White dwarf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have an idea already of which it is?

red giant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A red giant is when a star reaches below a critical level of hydrogen and starts to gain enough gravitational pressure to fuse helium and heavier elements. This causes it to swell in size. It's not quite dead yet, though. A red giant from a low-mass star will eventually eject its outer layers to form something similar (but not the same as) one of the answers, leaving behind the core (the name of which is another of the answers).
