OpenStudy (destinymasha):

- the total number of degrees must equal 180, so add all these together, subtract it from 180, and you will find the value of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=80?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Yea.....i dont think i read that well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Destinymasha

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Were solving for just the triangle right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

finding the value of x

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

180- 148 = 32,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about 112

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Thats what im trying to figure out......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought you said add 112+148-180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats how i got 80

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

No, it equals 260

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

The total number of degrees couldnt have been 180, do you have any options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i dont have options

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

The sum of the angles of a polygon with 5 sides is \((5-2)\times180=540\) degrees: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygon#Angles

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Aha , thank you!

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

So, 540 - 260 = 280

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so thats the answer?

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

X= 90

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Actually, no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are confusing me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Destinymasha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ybarrap

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

I got it! 67.5

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

2(67.5) +10 + 2(67.5) = 280, 280+ 260 = 540!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

I almost messed up your grade lol

OpenStudy (destinymasha):

Awww, thanks. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its only 1 question lol

OpenStudy (destinymasha):
