**will give medal** The gas tank in a car holds a total of 16 gallons of gas. The car travels 75 miles on 4 gallons of gas. If the gas tank is full at the beginning of a trip, which graph represents the rate of change in the amount of gas in the tank? A. Graph of Gas in Tank vs Distance with line going from 0, 16 to 120, 0 B. Graph of Gas in Tank vs Distance with line going from 120, 0 to 300, 16 C. Graph of Gas in Tank vs Distance with line going from 0, 16 to 300, 0 D. Graph of Gas in Tank vs Distance with line going from 0, 0 to 300, 16

First figure out the unit rate - how far can the car travel on one gallon of gas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is c. The car travels 18.75 miles on one gallon, which comes from dividing 75 by 4. Multiply that by 16 to determine how many miles the car can travel on a full tank of gas. The answer for that is 300. Therefore the line will start at (0,16) and end at (300,0) where miles is the x value of the points and y is the gallons.
