Anyone know Organic Reactions - SN2, esterification and are able to help me out :)

In this reaction, Diphenylmethanol is being reacted with 2-Bromoethanol, with para-Toluenesulfonic acid as the catalyst, and toluene as a solvent. However in the final product, an ester seems to have formed with the Br on the edge. What reactions are taking place here, SN2, SN1 and where? Thanks

you can't make esters from 2 alcohols :\
