3y-12>5y+10

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

to solve for the y variable, you want to get the y-variable on one side

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Since 3y is smaller than 5y, you can subtract to avoid negatives and it would look like this: 3y-12>5y+10 -3y -3y ------------ -12>2y+10 or 2y+10<-12 (they're both the same things)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

does this make sense so far? @jaywale ?
