Is it? I thought they were part of the Hydrosphere... "combined mass of water found on, under, and over the surface of a planet".

You are right. It was a trick question. Normally Oceans, Lakes and ponds are related to Hydrosphere, but those same places also support life, so they can be classified as part of the biosphere aswell.
Yeah that's why I was unsure.
