an= a1 + (n-1 ) x D so let's say I want to find y=2x + 5 x |0 | 1| 2|3|4|5| y | 5| 7| 9| 11| 15| I want to find the 15th place of y when X is +5 so after i plug in A15= +5(which is the first number in the sequence) (15 - 1, since it is always one less than the value of the number) what is the difference?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see the difference as being 2, I'm not sure because I've seen other with the difference as being 8.

OpenStudy (loser66):

what do you mean by "I've seen other with the difference as being 8"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

someone else had a difference answer, for the difference, I don't see how, because it only goes up by 2, and am i correct to assume that is the diffrence between the numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 2

OpenStudy (loser66):

yes, you are. the difference d =2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks I always think that I might have it wrong so i like to double check. Cheers!
