Your car tire is rotating at 3.5rev/s when suddenly you press down hard on the accelerator. After travelling 200m, the tire's rotation has increased to 6.0 rev/s. What was the tire's angular accelaration? Mary needs to row her boat across a 100m wide river that is flowing to the east at speed 1.0m/s.Mary can row with a speed of 2.0m/s. a. If Mary points her boat due North, how far from the intended landing spot will she be when she reaches the opposite shore? b. What is her speed with respect to the shore?

so do you need help with these questions? or you put it up to tutor someone else? :)

@Potatoes.ramu

OpenStudy (potatoes.ramu):

I haven't studied angular velocity in a REALLY long time.. I'll try helping with the second one wait.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and I warned u in advance. pliz try

OpenStudy (potatoes.ramu):

Hey 2m/s is her speed with respect to the river right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (potatoes.ramu):

Okay.. then her absolute velocity with respect to the shore is 2+1 =3m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u draw the diagram @Potatoes.ramu

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jst wanna c something

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

"Okay.. then her absolute velocity with respect to the shore is 2+1 =3m/s" Careful: you need to add velocities, not speeds.
