When factored what are the vertex
y = -2x2 - 4x + 12 and y = x2 - 4x + 3

well you don't need to factor to find the vertex

are you being asked to write the equation in vertex form and then state the vertex..?

no I just want to make sure that I was right. I got that they both have the same vertex and i just wanted a second opinion if I was right or not.

well you have an error in your work as the curves have different vertices

well depends on the term greater

the 1st curve is concave down and has a vertex that has a higher y value

then 2nd curve is concave up... and has a lower y value
