I need help please!!!!! I will give a medal to the best answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everybody need help u have to post u r question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many solutions does the system of equations have? y = 6x + 2 and 3y - 18x = 12 a. one b. two c. infinitely many d. none

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can anyone at least show me how to do this because im lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea but i topld people to help u fan me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 6x + 2 y - 6x = 2 3y - 18x = 6 subtract the two 3y – 18x = 12 0 = 6 which can never be true, therefore, this system has no solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that make any sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well lets get the second equation into y=mx+b 3y-18x=12 add 18x 3y=18x+12 divide by 3 y=6x+4 y=6x+2 same slope, differant intercept no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks to both of you, is it ok if I ask a couple more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's fine. Just close this question and ask a new one. Tag me in it so I can see if I can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok
