I need an example of someone who didn't believe in God and it turned out bad for him because of that. Must be a recent and real event, about a famous person.
me! :DDD
lol, for real
Recent and real, that seems rather challenging. Can you elaborate on "didn't believe in God"? Meaning, never did from the start with? Or lost faith in? Does "losing faith in and challenging God" count?
GOod question. Lost faith in god is the thing.
A famous of example of someone who started to feel handicapped and misguided by god is Antonio Salieri, I am not sure if that accounts as 'recent'. It was within the age of Mozart and other great composers. The ingenious movie "Amadeus" by Milos Foreman is based upon that incident. In his letters Salieri often talked about the talented Mozart and did grief why god would burden him with his acquaintance, while he's left a layman next to Mozart. He then started to gradually build up anger towards god.
No that's not recent.
So 20th century? Or must it be 21th?
It's something in 20 or 21 century
Hmm ok give me a moment. It is more hard to find recent stories of such incidents because must modern tragedies account for physical/psychical reactions rather than to metaphysical. At least that's the modern point of view of it.
um how does this have anything to do with math
Wow, new to os and so familiar....
hehe
are you just writing an essay?
no this is the math section
This is a math expertise, we are calculating in how much time will we find one example for this question.
I meant experiment.
why didn;'t you just say that
i am not new i have like seven other acounts but keep forgetting my password
k
I found it, Michael Nugent.
Nietzsche might work as an example, Nietzsche has been somewhat of a faithless man. Although he believed in god (in regard to his infamous quote "God is dead") he had his very own and rather brutal ideas about what god was. You can surely find a lot of literature about that especially in "Thus spoke Zarathustra". Nietzsche himself was always a very sickly person and never cured during his whole life, in fact he only got worse. He's one of the pessimist philosophers of the 20th century.
INietshe is not recent, he is one of the 17 or 18 century philosophers who was brain damaged when he got older.
he's 19th century.
I read about Nietzsche, but he is definitely not recent, and he is to me more of a philosopher then atheist.
I don't remeber exactly, but anyway, thank you for the effort!
it's the best I could come up with though :) I am sure there are a million of faithless people nowadays which situations did worsen though, just that nowadays nobody would account for that any more. For instance, if an atheist dies by drug use, he died due to the use of drugs, not because of the wrath of god. Sure, thanks for the question. :)
