Last year, Austin, Texas received 20 inches of rainfall. This year, Austin received 18 inches of rainfall. Find the percent of decrease in the number of inches of rainfall. Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a percent, if necessary. A) 2% B) 9% C) 10% D) 11%

First: work out the difference (decrease) between the two numbers you are comparing. Decrease = Original Number - New Number Then: divide the decrease by the original number and multiply the answer by 100. % Decrease = Decrease ÷ Original Number × 100 why dont u have a go and i can see what your thinking.
