Find roots of the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[10^{2x}+3(10)^{x}-10=0\]

OpenStudy (loser66):

your attempt?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got to 2x-xlog30=1, but I have a feeling that I took the wrong approach.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

certainly it looks there must be a better way to solve this, think a bit..

OpenStudy (loser66):

@ganeshie8 is here, you are safe, hehehe.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to say that 10^x looks important, but I don't know if substituting a variable for every instance 10^x would help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait. I lied.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

BINGO ! that wil do the magic... u wil get a quadratic which should be easy to solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay and all that.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

:)
