What is the median of this data set? {3, 13, 7, 5, 21, 23, 39, 28, 40, 26, 14, 12, 56, 25, 29, 31}

first put the numbers in order from least to greatest. Then locate the middle number, and that is your median. If there are 2 middle numbers, add them together and divide by 2, and that is your median.
