Unless you missed something in the question, this isn't an inequality question, it's just simple subtraction: We are given: \[x - 1\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }=-2\] so: \[x= -2+1\frac{ 2 }{ 3 } = -\frac{ 6 }{ 3 } +\frac{ 5 }{ 3 } =-\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]
