The length of one side of a regular hexagon is 15.8 mm. What is the perimeter of this hexagon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We know that a regular hexagon has six sides all the same length: -'hex' --> 'six' -'regular' --> 'all the same' Lets call the length one side 's' and the perimeter 'P'. Then we have: \[P=s+s+s+s+s+s=6 \times s\] Plug in our know value: \[P=6s\]\[P=6(15.8mm)\] \[P=94.8mm\]
