Please help, I need to know how to do this!! A carnival ride is in the shape of a wheel with a radius of 25 feet. The wheel has 20 cars attached to the center of the wheel. What is the central angle, arc length, and area of a sector between any two cars?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well what did u imagine about the physical appearance of the situation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A ferris wheel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ..no how are the cars attached .?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think they're 1.25 feet apart from eachother? I don't understand what you're asking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because i am not being able to make the picture in my mind ..!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't get a pic either

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohk ..! let us assume that each car occupies equal space ..so area of the circle ..625pi divided by 20 will give area by each car .!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so each car will require 18 deg. of the 360 deg. central angle .!|dw:1389978262130:dw|
