would you read a book if the epilogue started like this? : I live in a world that barely survived WWIII. We only eat the food that was prepackaged when my grandparents were children. There are rumors that the government is almost out of it. The USA has recovered enough that those people with enough money to can send their children to a school that teaches the art of espionage. I am one of those children. what do you think my best friend wants to be a writer and this was my 1st attempt at writing idk if it is any good. if you do like it i have more of the story on wattpad.com under
the same username as on here
it's a good story, it's not what I like reading though. I like reading fantasy books and whatnot, but I just turned 13, so this might be a kiddy response XD

"I can't believe you just did that!" my best friend Carson Daniels bellowed referring to the prank that he had dared me to do. I am not going to go into detail but lets just say it consisted of a large quantity of shaving creme and a months worth of detention for me. "Well you dared me to do it what did you expect?" I said. "I expected you of all people,Jersey,to know better and talk yourself out of it." "But it was so funny." I said beginning to crack up. "Yeah it kind of was but you shouldn't have done it." "Gawd you are so dang boring" "I know you tell me that every day." He said sadly. "Not everyone is as exciting as me," I teased. "You are going to be late for your 1st day of detention Ms.Bleu." said Mrs.Wells, our least favorite American History teacher, sternly. "Mrs.Wells you know I don't like it when you call me by my last name." I firmly stated. "Since when did I care what you want, Ms.Bleu." She said the last two words defiantly. Annoyed I huffed and walked away. **--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--**--** When I make it to detention all of my friends that are usually in detention turn around to greet me from their seats. Dustin yells,"There is our favorite bad girl what did you do this time?!?" "You know the usual lots of shaving creme equals even more detention." "Ha funny, funny, funny," Says my nemesis Brittney with an evil sneer. "Yeah I kind of am," "You wish you were as funny as her, Jersey!"said Joseph one of her 2 followers. Mr.Finder the teacher who was left in charge of this class shouted,"QUIET EVERYONE! Brittney and Joseph get out you don't belong here." They say simultaneously,"Yes Mr.Finder," then Brittney turns around and sticks her tongue out at me and Dustin has to hold me back from pulling that gorgeous bleach blond hair right out of her head. "Hey Jersey calm down she is just immature ignore her please!" Dustin is pleading with his eyes to stop struggling against his strong grip. "Get her out of here, now!" Mr.Finder shouts referring to Brittney who was now just standing in the doorway giving me the evil eye.
No to split hairs, but I'm assuming you mean 'prologue'...seldom will someone skip to the epilogue before the book. That said, I think it is a solid hook, and I would definitely read on!
I think that there is a lot of potential for a great novel or novella here.
thank you folks for this and sorry for the epilogue and prologue thing i thought that i changed it
you create a great introduction. i just feel like maybe its worded a little weird in the first couple of sentences. like maybe you can wright the same thing, but in strait to the point sentences. I live in a world that just barely survived WWII. Today, we nurish ourselves on food that was prepackaged when my grandparents were children. That food, at least i hear in rumors, is almost gone. [question, what do you mean the U.S. has recovered enough of it? food? is food part of the new-age monetary system in your epigoue?] Only those who have enough money can send their children to a school that teaches the art of espionage. I am one of those children.
thank you for your input i have written a little more of me book on wattpad.com and my username is the same as on openstudy
