seems to make sense to me, just in that a larger advertising spend should result in more sales... providing price is unchanged.

well to me you use
\[N = mA\]
use the information to find a
\[1800 =m \times 34000\]
so m = 0.05294
then
when A = 42000.00
\[N = 0.05294 \times 42000\]
which gives an answer of
N = 2223.529...
so N = 2224
hope it makes sense...
