when i do this on my calculator i get 616.5 and thats not one of my choices what do i do to get the correct answer?

You may translate the question and find the answer like this.

If log 4 1024 = x

Then 4^x = 1024

Thus x = 5

Because, 4 times 4 [5 times] results in 1024.
