I am assuming that you are trying to find the following: \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}(cscx-cotx)\] If so, my first step would be to rewrite the trig functions in terms of sin and cos and see where that gets you. For example: \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}(cscx-cotx)=\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}(\frac{ 1 }{ sinx }-\frac{ cosx }{ sinx })=\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}(\frac{ 1-cosx }{ sinx })\] You now have a 0/0 limit so try some of the special rules for finding the that type of limit.
