OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.wolframalpha.com will show u graph

Is this \[e ^{x+2}\]?

OpenStudy (ammarah):

yes

I teach my students to use basic transformations of graphs. The graph of the function \[e ^{x}\]|dw:1390107266610:dw|. If the "+2" is added as part of the exponent then the graph will be the same with a horizontal shift of 2 to the left. If the "+2" is not in the exponent then the graph will have a vertical shift of 2 up (which will also cause the horizontal aymptote to shift up 2).
