What is the measure of angle D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (bibby):

The interior angles of a triangle add up to 180. <D+90+39=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the angle 31 degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i'm guessing

OpenStudy (bibby):

You shouldn't guess. You know this because triangles angles add up to 180 x+90+39=180 x+129=180 x=180-129 x=51

OpenStudy (anonymous):

<T = 39 Degrees And we know <B = 90 degrees cause it's a right angle. Also, given the measures of all angles in any triangle must add up to 180 degrees. So just solve now. First, add the two angles that you already know. 39 + 90 = 129 degrees Now you would just subtract that from 180 to find the measurement of <D. 180 - 129 = 51 SO the measurement for <D = 51 degrees. You can check this cause if we add 90 + 39 + 51 it equals 180 degrees, which is the measurement of all the angles in any triangle. x
