how do you solve an angle with two unknowns explain plz

OpenStudy (marigirl):

could u give an example or diagram?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Really vague question, at least provide a problem that you need help on..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sooops sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (shamil98):

84 + 70 + x = 180 solve for x first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain how would solve this

OpenStudy (shamil98):

actually let that be y, not x. 84 + 70 + y = 180

OpenStudy (shamil98):

solve for y, then solve for x with this. (input your value for y now). 78 + y + x = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go on..

OpenStudy (shamil98):

do the work yourself, i'll check it. for the explanation you have a common third angle in both triangles, thus you use the knowledge you have of a triangle (interior angles add up to 180, so add the other angles up and solve for the unknown third angle, using the third angle that is in common you can do the same to determine the value of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i suppose to add the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then subtract by 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

i gave you the explanation, if you can't understand it, then i can help no more...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whatever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can figure it out i'm to smart bye
