Can somebody help me out with a poem I'm supposed to write for class? We sit upon words unspoken and grasp at syllables A common word as golden and worthless, as rich as grass To be unfound yet be so close as to the English body, sitting naked Upon a golden tongue, my words, your words, disguised To bathe in lyric and soak in language Deafening jealousy of a lexicographer And the repetitious continuation of a life, lifestyle Through and through of a color'd day with the inability to find the words you search This is me, an orbital flexing of a mouth looking for the harmony of word

The prompt is 'a time you couldn't find the words to say'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that the poem you wrote?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. I'm trying to edit it, I forgot to do it and had to do it tonight. We've had a week to do it, so it's supposed to be decent. :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It sounds good. And what you have could work as an ending if you needed it too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aha, yeah, that was supposed to be the ending. Did you think there was supposed to be more? Is it awkward? They gave such a permeable and undefined structure, it feels so nude to paint over it. I dunno, it's a freshman high school poem so maybe it'll be good enough.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No it's really good. And it's a perfect ending. You did a good job. And has good structure also.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, thanks. I'll just submit it and see what happens! Thanks for checking over it and making sure I didn't write or do anything stupid in my coffee/sleep deprived state.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's okay. And oh no...get some coffee... that's like torturing yourself... you can't work under those conditions. And no prob... :)
