(1/tan(x)) * 1/cos(x) * sin(x) = 1/tan(x) * sin(x)/cos(x) = 1/tan(x) * tan(x) = 1

Thanks! How about this one? \[\frac{ \cos^2 x + \sin^2 x }{ \cot^2 x - \csc^2 x }\] I got csc x. Is that even close?
