help prove that tanx(tanx+cotx)=sec^2 of x ???

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered multiplying with the Distributive Property on the left-hand side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. I got tan^2 of x +tanxcotx=sec^2 of x I just don't know where to go from that point.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

\(\tan(x) = \dfrac{1}{\cot(x)}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan(x)cot(x)=1
