Summary: You can SAY what your motives are, but this is mathematics. Rumor and innuendo are not sufficient. Prove it. Prove you understand SOMETHING. Prove you are in the right class. PROVE that you're not just trying to get someone to do your homework.

Side Note: If you really want to control the engagement, dictate teaching methods, decide where and when you need a lecture, you really should consider a paid local tutor. Surely you can find one to your liking.
