So what's the slope of the original equation?

Then once u find that slope, find its negative reciprocal which will be the slope of the line perpendicular to it

I believe you will need to know point slope formula y-y1=m(x-x1). To make the slope perpendicular you will need to do the opposite reciprocal ( flip the numbers and change the sign)
