Which of the following best describes how to measure the spread of the data? The IQR is a better measure of spread for movies than it is for basketball games. The standard deviation is a better measure of spread for movies than it is for basketball games. The IQR is the best measurement of spread for games and movies. The standard deviation is the best measurement of spread for games and movies.

@texaschic101 I really need help please!!!
@hartnn
IQR = interquartile range
Ok.
any other info. given ?
Nope this is all of it.
this is just a guess, but I think IQR is the best measurement for both. Not 100% sure.
i always thought that standard deviation is better measure for spread than IQR in any type of data.
Guy i just really need help...i don't know any of this...
I have 8 more of these questions and i don't understand one of em...i just answered 1 and got confused on this one.
I just read that when data has outliers, it is best to use the IQR. And both movies and games has outliers.
So that eliminates both B and D?
i have a hunch that IQR is better for movies and std. deviation is better for basketball (as the spread for basketball is not max in the middle and std. deviation considers all points from the set unlike IQR )
you could be right...because the games have outliers but they are not that far spaced
I think this is A.
I would probably go with Hartnn's answer. He is probably better at this then me
Which one would that be -_-"
sorry, couldn't say it for sure. but i would have gone with A.
