A couple reasons. One being the Agricultural Revolution in which scientists were forced to find better methods of feeding the nation. Britain was undergoing a hugee rise in population. The agricultural revolution supported the 18th century's industrial revolution. In a more politically based revolution, there stands the Glorious Revolution which came about when the Catholic King James II was killed in a Dutch invasion into England. A new king was installed. How much more do you need to know? Which revolution seems more familiar? That's the one your teacher will want the answers based from.
