An artist designed a badge for a school club. Figure ABCD on the coordinate grid below shows the shape of the badge. The badge is enlarged and plotted on the coordinate grid as Figure JKLM with point J located at (1, -6) and point M located at (3, -2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of these could be the possible coordinates for a vertex? (-1, -6) (5, -2) (6, -6) (7, -2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@leya123 can u plz help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im looking. One sec :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnx :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can it be (5, -2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes ( 5, -2 ) because if you could over 7 times J , M would be plotted at ( 5,-2 ) for the four pyramid vertex :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh, thank you so much! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i answered another question but im not sure if its right, can u plz check it out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

Triangle J'K'L' shown on the grid below is a dilation of Triangle JKL using the origin as the center of dilation. Which scale factor was used to create Triangle J'K'L'? 4 2 1/4 1/2 <- is it this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@leya123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct :) . its just simple addition 3 +3=6 4+4=8 6+6=12 :) , So yes you would be taking off one half of the original number to get your new dilation method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnx :) ur a big help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anytime :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just submitted the practice exam and i got that question wrong :( as well as the similar triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but thnx anyway, u helped and i like that :) @leya123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really ? hmm I wonder what was wrong. I did a question exactly the same as the first one you had and mine was correct as well as the other ones I had answered . idk im sorry ill recheck :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its alright, thnx :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome, I tried . I just new they would be correct :/ ....Im sorry again

OpenStudy (anonymous):
