OpenStudy (fernandez555):

medal+fan Simplify (6x^2+ 11x - 3) + (2x^2- 17x - 4) A. 8x2+ 6x - 1 B. 8x2- 6x - 7 C.8x2+ 6x + 1 D. 8x2- 6x + 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Combine the like terms ie the terms that have the same variable and exponents (6+2)x^2 + (11-17)x + (-3-4) Is that easier to understand?

OpenStudy (fernandez555):

@KirbyLegs yes, thank you. I got up to here though, i dont know how to further simplify from here. from here, what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add up inside the parenthesis = 8(x^2) + -6(x) + -7 = B

OpenStudy (fernandez555):

@KirbyLegs oh, wow, see i tend to over think the problem, completely slipped my mind. thank you!
