Solve the inequality -1/4 x-6>-5

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

treat is like a normal equation with an = sign

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

mult -1/4 by its reciprocal.

OpenStudy (raffle_snaffle):

by both sides

The only difference between solving this and an equation with an = sign is that when you multiply or divide by a negative number, you flip the inequality -1/4x-6>-5 add 6 to both sides -1/4x > 1 divide by both sides by -1/4 and flip the inequality because you are dividing by a negative number x < -4
