3. a shorter week impacts society because if people worked 7 days a week i am sure you wouldn't need three different shifts to do the job that is first, second, and third. More than likely more people would be on first shift if there was a longer work week. Furthermore, a short work week allows people to spend more time one leisure things and spend there money on fun things too which greatly helps the economy if people weren't spending money this way and worked all week, could you imagine the economy? A short work week was established by unions and ultimately helps keep people healthly because people are not over working themselves.
