OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

Help Me Please For a regular n-gon: a. What is the sum of the measures of its angles? b. What is the measure of each angle? c. What is the sum of the measures of its exterior angles, one at each vertex? d. What is the measure of each exterior angle? e. Find the sum of your answers to parts b and d. Explain why this sum makes sense.

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

OK....the formula is (n-2)*180 where n is the number of sides....

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

so what do u think is the answer to b?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

come on @yacoub u can do it - I give the answer to part a already, what do u think is the answer to part b?

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

@superdavesuper i didnt understand what n-gon means

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

n-gon means it is a polygon with n sides

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

ok then

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

answer to part a is (n-2)*180

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

i am still not getting to solve it

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

i am getting frustrated

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

relax :) do u understand the answer I gave for part a?

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

no

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

not sure

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

hmmm...not sure i can find a better way to explain this....

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

ooooh thnxs for trying to help

OpenStudy (bibby):

n is a variable number that represents the sides. as such 180*(n-2) represents the sum of the angles of a regular n-gon. what don't you get?
