why current can't flow in an open circuit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

beause it is open?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

couse the air resistance is high so the current cant flow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why can't cars go through a broken bridge?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathavraj that is a real bad example :P like @Awadd said, if circuit is open, that means there is air in between, and air has a hugee resistance.. so the resistance of the circuit becomes veryyy large..
