Solve by factoring: x^2 + 8x = -16
I know the first step is to add 16 to both sides so it equals 0. I'm just not sure what to do next.

I also know that x = -4

so x=-4, need to know what makes it =0
(x+4)(x+4) or (x+4)^2
cause -4+4=0
