just 1 question & of course a medal reward :D What was the bracero program and why was it important to America's fight during WWII?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Bracero program was a program that President Roosevelt put into place with the mexican president. Mexican workers came over to California to farm. They were on short term contracts with the US. Too many men were off at war and not enough farmers to supply food for the nation so this was were the Mexican men came into place. They also were paid much lower than a US citizen farmer was being paid.
