Divide -2x^3+21x^2-20x-12 by (x-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you just looking for the equation you get when you divide?

OpenStudy (otonogold):

yes

OpenStudy (otonogold):

Could you show me how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to do synthetic division?

OpenStudy (otonogold):

not all like that.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

-2x^3+21x^2-20x-12 by x-3

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Crap. I can't use the Draw button so i can't show synthetic division.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZoMz1Cy1T4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation you get in the end is -2x²+15x+25 with a remainder of 63. I would show you but I can't use the draw button either.

OpenStudy (otonogold):

Your right ! :D @atomestic & I'll look at that @agent0smith

You're welcome. I just got done with that chapter in my online class and it was fairly easy. Just message me if you have anymore questions. :) I'm glad I could help!

OpenStudy (otonogold):

Okay, thank you again (:

OpenStudy (agent0smith):
