The Draw button is not working and so I cannot illustrate with a drawing. If the segment AC is partitioned 3:1 at the point Q, then AQ will be 3/4 of AC along the x-axis and 3/4 of AC along the y-xis. x-coordinate of Q is: x1 + 3/4 * (x2 - x1) y-coordinate of Q is: y1 + 3/4 * (y2 - y1)
