convert -5/4 revolutions to radians

OpenStudy (kainui):

What's your best guess? We'll help you figure it out, but you need to put in a little effort first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 rel = 2pi rad so (-5/4)2pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is -10/4 pi rad correct?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Almost, but not quite. What's wrong with the fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5/2 pi rad

OpenStudy (kainui):

Now that's better. =) Now does your teacher care that -5/2 pi radians is less than 0? Sometimes teachers want your answer to be greater than zero and less than two pi since after you rotate past 2pi you're just going in a circle and end up at the same place. So like, 3pi is the same location as pi radians, since we can add or subtract 2pi (a whole rotation) and it's the exact same location.
