i will give a medal and fan if you can answer this question for me please: how did the attack on pearl harbor cause the united states to abandon its neutral position on the war between the allies and axis powers?
it was bigger than 9/11 as there was an actual enemy to focus on - and the Japanese had been a sort of enemy for a long time before Pearl Harbor. The Japanese had been attacking China since 1930 - so 12 years before Pearl Harbor. And we'd been kind of fighting them diplomatically. Lots of racism here in this Pearl Harbor Attack. We looked at the Japanese as being racially inferior - and so the anger of them attacking us and actually sinking an entire fleet of our ships made Americans REALLY flip out
thank you so much :)
