Linen and cotton are two fabrics made from natural plant fibers that can be used to make bed sheets. Cottons, of course, is grown all over the world and a large portion of it in the United States. Linen is made from the flax plant, much of which comes from Europe. Assume that a new infestation of boll weevils begins munching American cotton. Using three graphs drawn with the grapher, show what happens to the markets for cotton, cotton sheets, and linen sheets. explain in words what happened and why in each market. Be sure to show what happened to prices and quantities in each case.
