I'd say curiosity. It's a 100% scientific attidute.

I was actually thinking about curiosity but I thought observation might be better.

with only an observation you wouldn't wonder how the bee finds the flower. you'd just notice that the bee finds the flower. Now curiosity makes you wonder why the bee finds the flower. So it's kinda an observation followed by curiosity.
