What do you do with the exponents when you multiply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if they have the same base you add them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like 3^4 x 3^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you multiply exponents, you add them x^3(x^5) = x^8 3^4 x 3^3 = 3^7 Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you do nothing to the base!!! i got it haha i completely forgot, the 3 doesnt become 9, okay thank you
